Spiral Cut Skirt
This spiral cut skirt was designed based on Richard Serra's spiral lead plate designs. Serra compared his works to drawings. On the ground, his works just seem like "designed lead plates," but he always designs with the feeling of drawing from the sky. I also designed this skirt imagining a spiral when viewed directly from above while worn. The fabric is a pinstripe poplin yarn made of polyester and wool. It's a lightweight material, but the twisted yarn gives it firmness, allowing it to hold its shape while still being light. The pinstripe pitch is neither too wide nor too narrow, making it suitable for both formal and casual occasions.
