Wool Doeskin Power Shoulder Mini Dress SATORU SASAKI's core concept is the combination of tailoring and contrasting elements. This mini dress is an embodiment of that concept. The raglan sleeve, originally a detail adopted for British military uniforms for ease of wear and arm movement, is contrasted here with darts at the shoulder to create a three-dimensional effect, and thick, wide shoulder pads, incorporating tailoring elements into the shoulder area. The material is wool yarn-dyed doeskin. A special doeskin weave process gives it a glossy sheen and a smooth, dense feel with no fluff. Doeskin is a luxurious woolen fabric, named after "doe's skin," and is characterized by its tight satin weave using worsted yarn, followed by fulling, raising, shearing, and brushing (doeskin finish).
