Herringbone Wool Tapered Trousers
The architect Valerio Olgiati was the subject of this season's collection. While looking at his works and drawings, I noticed a building of his that used many pillars. In the drawings for that building, there were dot marks that seemed to design the empty spaces. While looking at those drawings, I intuitively incorporated the rivet positions and those empty spaces into these narrow, single-pleat trousers. The material is a tweed fabric made with a high wool content, accented with classic silk nep yarn. It is a bulky and warm woolen material, and the small herringbone pattern is not too strong, making it suitable for daily wear. The fabric also has a good weight and a luxurious feel due to the silk blend.
